As we enjoy our favourite cup of coffee today, we can’t help but reminisce about the unforgettable moments we experienced at Malaysia Coffee Week 2024. It was a week of innovation, flavour, and community – an event that allowed us to showcase the very best of what Lighthouse Coffee has to offer. Here are some of our favourite highlights:

Malaysia’s First Coffee Birds’s Nest

One of the standout moments of the week was unveiling Malaysia’s first Coffee Bird’s Nest. This unique concept not only captured the curiosity of our visitors but also symbolised the perfect blend of tradition and modernity in the world of coffee. The Coffee bird’s Nest is a creative nod to local heritage, reimagined with a contemporary twist, and it quickly became a crowd favourite.

Geisha Series

We were honoured to present an exclusive selection of premium Geisha coffees from around the globe. Our showcase included:

  • Panama Auromar Alma Estate Marcel
  • Panama Auromar Estate Catalina
  • Peru Finca Los Santos Ayuyus Mountain
  • Panama Kotowa Las Brujas Lot 2138

Each of these selections allowed us to share the story behind the beans – from the meticulous farming practices to the art of roasting – giving our visitors a deeper appreciation for what goes into each exquisite cup.

Exploring Coffee Flavours Table

Another innovative highlight of our booth was the interactive display, “Coffee Flavours Table.” This creative exhibit mapped out the distinct flavour compounds found in coffee, correlating them with elements on the “periodic” table. It was both an educational and sensory experience, as guest discovered how science and art converge in every brew. The display not only sparked lively conversations but also helped demystify the complexities behind the flavour we all love.

Reflections and Takeaways

Looking back on Malaysia Coffee Week 2024, we’re filled with gratitude for the opportunity to engage with a passionate community of coffee lovers and industry experts. Here are a few key takeaways from out experience:

  • Innovation Meets Tradition: Our Coffee Bird’s Nest demonstrated how local heritage can be creativity reimagined for today’s audience
  • Global Flavours on Display: Introducing high-caliber Geisha coffees from Panama and Peru enriched our lineup and offered a taste of the world’s best.
  • Science in Every Sip: The Coffee Flavours in the “Periodic Table” exhibit bridged the gap between science and sensory delight, highlighting the intricate art of coffee-making.
